SAD DAYS FOR ALL I don't know if everyone is aware of the recent (Jan 2007)adoption of an animal control ordinance by the Metro Council and the Mayor of Louisville, Kentucky. The annual Kentuckiana Cluster of Dog Shows in Louisville, however, urges everyone to attend and support these shows in spite of the problems at hand. Dog lovers have been reluctant to enter these shows because of this recent legislation. A reminder: this show is on STATE property and not subject to local law.
Economic pressure is being applied everywhere and it appears that this pressure is beginning to work! The law is now in the County Attorney 's office for the purpose of repealing it. The hotels have been hit with hundreds of cancellations for the Cluster weekend, and now the restaurants are beginning to complain too. The Hoosier State Chinese Shar Pei Club has cancelled reservations for 60 to 80 people at a local eatery.
